Join Our Team as an Analytical Chemist!
Are you ready to take your analytical chemistry skills to the next level? Join our dynamic team as an Analytical Chemist and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. You will conduct routine and specialized testing on a variety of samples, from raw materials to finished goods, all while supporting exciting development projects!
Your Responsibilities
* Conduct Routine Testing: Analyze products submitted to the lab, including raw materials, in-process batches, finished goods, water samples, and stability samples.
* Specialized Analytical Testing: Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager to perform specialized tests that support new product development.
* Documentation: Meticulously document all results according to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
* Review Work: Assist in reviewing the work of fellow laboratory personnel as needed.
* Instrumentation Techniques: Learn and practice techniques such as gas chromatography (GC), High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), UV/Visible Spectrophotometry, and FTIR.
* Support Validations: Contribute to cleaning validations and engineering trials through analytical work.
* Data Compilation: Compile and summarize data when required.
* Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
* Effective Communication: Engage with management, coworkers, suppliers, and customers effectively.
* Additional Assignments: Complete other tasks as requested by the Lab Manager.
* Work Ethic: Uphold strong work ethics and adhere to all policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills
* Proficiency in Analytical Chemistry: Experience with HPLC and GC is a must.
* Documentation Skills: Strong ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
* Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Additional Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related Laboratory Sciences field.
* Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) lab preferred.
Work Environment
This position is based in our OTC Manufacturing Analytical Chemistry Laboratory. You will work the third shift from Monday to Friday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Be prepared for occasional extra hours, including limited weekend work, to meet workload spikes and deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47,000 - $52,000 per year.
