Principal Planning Consultant – Workday Adaptive Planning
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Henderson Drake is working with a specialist consultancy recognised for delivering sophisticated Workday Adaptive Planning solutions. As part of its continued growth across the UK market, the organisation is seeking an experienced Principal Planning Consultant to lead the delivery of complex financial planning and analytics projects.
This role is suited to an individual with a deep understanding of enterprise performance management, who can take ownership of client engagements from initiation to completion while shaping strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and implementation of Workday Adaptive Planning solutions tailored to meet client-specific financial planning requirements.
* Work directly with senior stakeholders to gather business needs, advise on best practices, and deliver robust planning, budgeting, and forecasting models.
* Oversee project delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with agreed timelines and objectives.
* Provide mentorship and support to consulting team members, contributing to capability development within the business.
* Manage client relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle, acting as a trusted partner in driving digital finance transformation.
Requirements:
* Substantial experience delivering Workday Adaptive Planning implementations, ideally in a senior or lead consultant role.
* Strong technical and functional understanding of EPM tools and financial modelling, including integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow structures.
* Background in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), with the ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
* Proven ability to manage stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and communicate complex information clearly.
* A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is desirable. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) are advantageous.
