Job description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the construction of highways, inclusing earthworks and some structures
2. Ensuring that work is carried out to the client's specifications and standards
3. Monitoring contractor performance, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality requirements
4. Reporting regularly to the DSR
5. Conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
6. Identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise during construction
7. Liaising with various stakeholders, including contractors and local authorities
Job Requirements:
8. Experience in highway construction and maintenance
9. Strong understanding of structural & highways engineering principles
10. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and solve problems effectively
11. Proficiency in conducting site inspections and audits
12. Strong communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder liaison
13. Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
Contract Details:
14. 2 year contract
15. Start date: Mid to late October
16. Location: Perth, Scotland
17. Outside IR35
18. 40 hours per week
