The role
As the Global Category Manager for IT/OT Infrastructure Services, you will report directly to the Team Lead for IT Services, Infrastructure, and Cloud. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a global team and contribute to innovative projects across RWE’s businesses, including Renewables, Energy Trading, and more.
Your future plans
As one of two senior Global Category Managers focusing on Infrastructure and Cloud, your responsibilities include managing Managed Workplace, Printing, Networks, Telecoms, Mobile, Data Centres, Cloud Services, and Partners. You will develop and oversee the global Category Strategy, guide category managers and business areas, and conduct strategic RFx activities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Being a subject matter expert and strategic thinker
* Understanding global markets, trends, emerging technologies, and supply chain risks/opportunities
* Developing and communicating the global Category Strategy
* Aligning procurement goals with business targets and managing procurement processes effectively
* Engaging with internal and external stakeholders and building trusted networks
* Meeting IT/OT requirements to improve outcomes for RWE
Your profile
* University degree with relevant professional experience
* Expertise in procurement strategy and financial management principles
* Deep knowledge of IT/OT supply markets and relevant categories
* Strong negotiation skills across all organizational levels
* Creativity, attention to detail, and openness to new ideas
* Willingness to travel to operational sites and suppliers
* Excellent English skills; German beneficial but not essential
