Job Summary:
The post holder is to ensure the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard and provide the residents with a safe, comfortable and pleasant environment in which to live. Maintain all record in accordance with company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
* Maintaining the building and equipment
* Monitor and respond to fire alarm calls, boilers, and lift systems
* Make effective and efficient use of resources in maintenance or repairs
* Report and record all relevant information
* Conduct banking and purchase of small items for the home
* Maintain the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety of residents, staff, and visitors
* Maintain good communication and relationships with other teams and colleagues
* Be aware of the Home's policies and procedures, especially fire safety
* Participate in training and development as an individual and team member
* Assist in the induction of new staff by training them on building layout and fire policies
* Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times
* Control and order stock, accept and check deliveries
* Be aware of health and safety requirements
* Maintain high levels of communication within teams, colleagues, and residents
* Perform any additional duties as requested
* Undertake additional training and development programs as appropriate
* Review and update the job description regularly with management
