Cast UK is hiring a Head of Supply Chain to oversee end to end supply chain activities for our West Yorkshire based client.

What does the role involve?
1. Managing end to end supply chain operations for a fast paced, thriving distribution business importing products from suppliers across Europe and the Far East
2. Assuming ultimate responsibility for demand planning, inventory management and product availability
3. Overseeing inbound deliveries from Europe and the Far East, including lead time management and container optimisation
4. Managing supplier performance and driving improvements in vendor service levels
5. Initiating and delivering supply chain improvements to drive efficiencies and operational cost savings for the business
6. Developing supply chain strategies, processes and systems which facilitate and support the business' next phase of growth and expansion
7. Playing an instrumental role in key business projects, including an upcoming ERP System Implementation
8. Leading and mentoring the Supply Chain team and working collaboratively with other functions to achieve overall business objectives of synergies, efficiencies and growth

Ideal Skills and Experience
14. Proven track record in an end to end supply chain leadership role in a fast-paced, dynamic business
15. Capable of working at both a strategic and operational level, as required in a fast growing SME
16. Expertise in demand planning, forecasting, inventory control and supply chain management, particularly with suppliers based in Europe and the Far East
17. Excellent data and ERP system skills, ideally having led an ERP system implementation project or having operated as a key user / super user in the past
18. Honed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other functions across the business
19. Strong leadership and management skills, able to coach and inspire a supply chain team
