Senior Software Engineer – Digital Assets Technology Location: Galway, Ireland We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a growing technology team in Galway. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing innovative technology solutions that support a leading institutional financial services platform. As part of a newly established team, you will help build next-generation capabilities that enable the rollout of Digital Asset financial instruments within the institutional market. You will work with modern technologies, collaborate with talented engineers and business partners, and contribute to highly scalable, secure, and high-performance applications serving a global client base. The Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will: Design, develop, test, and implement high-quality software solutions. Contribute to architecture and application design decisions. Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Architects, and fellow Engineers. Deliver key customer-facing features as part of an Agile Scrum team. Champion engineering best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement. Mentor and support junior team members. Drive innovation through the adoption of modern technologies and development practices. Help shape the future of Digital Asset technology solutions. Required Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. 5 years of professional software development experience. Strong object-oriented programming skills with expertise in: Java / J2EE Spring Framework / Spring Boot RESTful Services Cloud technologies CI/CD tools and practices Experience working in Agile development environments Knowledge of test automation and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Desirable Skills Front-end development experience using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar frameworks. Experience with or understanding of Blockchain and Digital Asset technologies.
