We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for
*The Role*
* Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles (Car, HGV & PSV)
* Diagnosing faults and providing effective, efficient solutions
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high professional standard
* Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
* Delivering excellent customer service and clear communication
* Working both independently and collaboratively within the team
* Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client concerns professionally.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts accurately.
*What We’re Looking For*
* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
* Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanics (or equivalent)
* Willing to train in other areas of work including MOT testing
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability
* Able to manage workload effectively in a busy workshop
* A team player who can also work independently
* Excellent time management and communication skills
* A commitment to high standards of workmanship and customer care
* Strong knowledge of vehicle schematics and mechanical systems.
* Proficiency with hand tools & power tools
* Experience in assembly, disassembly, and repair of automotive components.
* Good understanding of maintenance procedures for various vehicle types.
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
* Problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail during diagnostics and repairs.
* Organised approach to managing multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines.

*Working Hours*
* Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
* Every other Saturday: 8:30am – 12:00 noon
* No call outs
* Occasional overtime will be required to support busy periods
* 28 days holiday _*plus*_ bank holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 43.5 per week
