Harvey Nash’s Public Sector client are hiring a Cloud Engineerوار who will lead cloud migration across the SCI platform and ensure that best‑practice approaches, processes and solutions are used to serve the operational and strategic needs of stakeholders. The postholder will secure, optimise and align systems with strategic goals, enabling the client to be an intelligence‑led organisation and to deliver strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership and direction, establishing and maintaining application architecture best practice and culture.
* Lead cloud migration of large production applications to AWS.
* Maintain and develop comprehensive documentation of current and target cloud architecture for ease of understanding and Versorgung reference.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluate new tools and recommend adoption to achieve strategic objectives.
* Manage risks and decisions transparently.
Skills & Experience Required
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to deliver corporate programmes while engaging credibly
with a range of stakeholders, business partners, and development teams to understand needs and guide implementation of long‑term IT strategies that support business goals.
* Experience working with multi‑disciplinary teams and stakeholders to provide specialist cloud architecture expertise, analysis and direction.
* Extensive track record of delivering performant, scalable, resilient, secure and cost‑effective cloud solutions with a strong understanding of best practices in accordance with well‑architected frameworks related to cloud technologies.
* Experience designing solutions and services with a high level of ingrained security and adherence to GDPR, Information Governance and cybersecurity related regulations.
* Proven experience in development and implementation of standards and best practices aiming to produce top‑quality technology solutions.
* Experience in cloud migration to AWS.

* Experience with Agile Methodologies.

* Ability to communicate and influence at senior level and present at local/national venues.
