Salary: £32,916 - £45,351, M1 - M6; UPS1 - UPS3, depending on experience.

Actual Salary: £19,749 - £27,210

Contract: Part Time 0.6 FTE/ Fixed term until 14 May 2027

Purpose

You will plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring accelerated progress for vulnerable Year 7 pupils within the bespoke Bridge Class transition area. You will share our commitment to raising standards of attainment and instilling the confidence, knowledge and skills needed for life in modern Britain, anchored in a passion for reading and oracy. You will work closely with our SENDCO and teaching assistants, communicate effectively with parents and bring a steadfast belief that all students can succeed and flourish within our diverse, inclusive community.

Duties (further Details In The Attached Application Pack)

Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons across a range of subjects to ensure accelerated progress within the transition area.
Act as the main class teacher for a small group of maximum 15 pupils within the Year 7 Bridge Class.
Utilise a primary model of single class teaching to deliver the core and foundation curriculum to SEND students.
Prepare and teach high quality lessons tailored to the specific educational needs of vulnerable pupils.
Assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of students in your charge.
Secure the engagement and enjoyment of learning while setting goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds.
Maintain discipline in accordance with school policies to ensure a pleasant and subject focused learning environment.
Ensure the effective and efficient deployment of classroom support staff and teaching assistants.
Maintain regular and productive communication with parents and carers regarding their child's progress, behaviour and development.
Contribute to the development of well sequenced schemes of work and resources to enhance the curriculum.
