Overview of the role
The Assistant Manager will support the Home Manager in running a residential care home. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring individual care plans; assisting with staff supervision and administrative tasks; and ensuring compliance with relevant codes of practice and legislation.
The role requires extensive knowledge and supervisory experience within Adult Social Care. You should have a professional approach, strong organizational and prioritization skills, and good knowledge of relevant legislation and standards.
Key duties
* Identify residents' emotional, physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs to inform appropriate actions in consultation with the management team
* Deliver a clearly defined care program within the home
* Delegate tasks effectively
* Liaise with relatives, care managers, and other professionals
* Ensure psychology guidelines for each resident are followed in collaboration with the psychology department
* Provide personal care, including bathing, toileting, dressing, and feeding support
* Develop trusting relationships with residents
* Assist with daily operations, ensuring the home is clean, organized, and well-maintained
