About Our Client
My client is a growing manufacturer based in the wider Sheffield area. They are looking for a Manufacturing & Technology Director to help lead their strategic and operational development of the technologies across the Group. This will focus on Industry 4.0, machinery automation, and digital transformation. This role will manage technological initiatives that drive operational excellence, efficiency, and innovation, ensuring the Group remains at the forefront of modern manufacturing.
Job Description
3. Develop and lead the Group's Industry 4.0 and Automation Roadmap.
4. Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance productivity, quality, and data connectivity.
5. Advise executive leadership on manufacturing technology investments.
6. Drive automation and process optimisation across all production sites.
7. Support technology integration during mergers and acquisitions.
8. Oversee IT infrastructure for new site development and ensure scalability.
9. Mentor and develop Site Managers in Industry 4.0 principles.
10. Ensure operational continuity during transformation initiatives.
11. As a result of the above, enabling demonstrative cost savings.
The Successful Applicant
Successful candidates will have:
12. Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
13. Experience implementing manufacturing technologies in a production setting.
14. Knowledge of CNC machining, automation, and digital manufacturing.
15. Experience & delivery of Industry 4.0 or similar smart factory principles.
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
17. Excellent communication and project management abilities.
18. Collaborative mindset and ability to lead change.
