As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in the development and care of children in our setting, ensuring the highest standards of early childhood education and care.As our _Room Leader_, you’ll be the captain of your very own ship! You’ll guide a team of passionate educators, inspire your little learners, and ensure that every child has an experience filled with joy, exploration, and growth. From designing exciting learning activities to ensuring a nurturing, safe environment, you’ll be at the heart of everything we do.*Key Responsibilities*:* Lead a team of practitioners to provide high-quality care and education for children within your designated room.* Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that meet the individual needs of the children.* Ensure the room is a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.* Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members.* Monitor the children's development and provide support to other team members in observing and assessing progress.* Getting the children school ready* Support the management team with day-to-day operations and maintain nursery policies and procedures.* Promote equal opportunities and inclusive practice.* Be a role model for staff, guiding and supporting them with their professional development.* Lead by example in ensuring that the nursery's safeguarding policies are adhered to at all times.* Take responsibility for key children and maintain their learning journey records.*Qualifications and Experience*:* A relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, NVQ Level 3, etc.).* Previous experience working in a childcare setting, with a proven track record of leading a team.* Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.* A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.* A good understanding of safeguarding practices.* A proactive approach, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.If you feel you would be an asset to our children and their learning and would like further details we would like to hear from you.As a business we are committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expect all staff to share this commitment.
