About the Role As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll support students aged 11–16 with diverse SEMH needs, including anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and challenging behaviours. You'll work both one-to-one and in small groups, helping to create a safe, nurturing environment where students can develop self-regulation skills, emotional resilience, and positive learning outcomes. This position is perfect for Psychology graduates or individuals with proven experience in mentoring, coaching, youth work, or caring roles. You'll need resilience, emotional intelligence, and the confidence to de-escalate challenging situations whilst building trusting relationships with vulnerable young people.
