Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently seeking a dependable and experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to support a busy waste management operation in East Lothian.
This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for regular full-time hours, weekly pay, and the chance to secure a permanent position with a well-established client.
🕒 Working Hours
1. Monday to Friday
2. 6:00am start times
3. Minimum 40 hours per week
4. Overtime available depending on business needs
5. Temp to perm opportunities for the right candidate
🔧 The Role
6. Operating a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle on planned routes
7. Working closely with loaders as part of a professional team
8. Completing collections safely and efficiently
9. Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects
10. Following all health & safety procedures at all times
💰 Pay Rates
PAYE
11. £14.53 per hour
12. £21.80 per hour overtime after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
13. £16.28 per hour
14. £24.42 per hour overtime after 8 hours
✅ Minimum 40 hours guaranteed per week
✅ Weekly pay

15. Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
16. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
17. Previous refuse, waste, or similar driving experience preferred
18. Strong awareness of health & safety practices
19. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
