We are seeking an experienced Drafting professional with strong leadership qualities to play a key role in the daily operations of our New Homes Drafting team. In this role, you will be the go-to support for the team; providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure the delivery of high-quality working drawings across all stages of pre-construction and construction.
You will allocate workloads, check and mark up drawings, assist with queries from both the team and wider business, and support the implementation of drafting processes and procedures. At times, you will also provide management cover, ensuring the department continues to run smoothly and meets the expectations of the wider business.
This role is a maternity leave cover with the possibility of extension and permanent employment opportunities for high performing candidates.
About You
You are a highly skilled Draftsperson with a strong background in the residential building industry and a passion for leadership. With a minimum of 5 years’ experience, you bring a deep understanding of drafting practices, construction processes, and industry regulations, and have the technical proficiency to support and guide others.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, are approachable, and have the ability to mentor and develop team members while fostering a positive team culture. Proficiency in ArchiCAD and Microsoft Office is essential, along with a solid knowledge of R-Codes and the NCC.
