Role Overview
* Position: Engineering Professional – Independent Contractor, Remote
* Commitment: Part-time ~20 hours/week (potential to extend to 40 hours/week)
* Duration: 1–2 months
* Join an exciting collaboration with a top AI research lab. Contribute to developing and evaluating advanced AI systems replicating real-world workflows in engineering.
Responsibilities
* Create and assess complex problems in engineering across subdomains such as civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, materials, and systems engineering.
* Evaluate AI-generated responses for conceptual accuracy, technical rigor, and domain relevance.
* Provide clear written feedback on engineering problem sets, designs, and solutions.
* Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and engineers to iterate and improve model performance.
* Ensure technical accuracy and academic precision in all engineering content used to train or evaluate AI systems.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Engagement Details
* Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($65-$80 USD/hr)
* Contract Type: Independent contractor
* Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous – flexible working hours
* Payment: Daily payment via Stripe Connect
