Production Operative
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our well-established client based in Bury.

Shifts:
Working four days between Monday to Saturday and will include a mixture of early and late shifts:
* Early: 06:00-16:30
* Late: 11:00-21:30
Rates of pay:
£12.52 per hour

Day-to-day duties:
As a Production Operative, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Receive, sort, and inspect raw meat products
* Trim, cut, debone, or portion meat according to specifications
* Operate cutting tools, knives, and meat processing machinery safely
* Use equipment like mincers, slicers, grinders
* Set up and adjust machines for production runs
* Monitor machines for performance and report issues
* Manual work and heavy lifting will be involved as you will need to put raw products into mixers.
* Work in a competent manner and have a safe working knowledge of production equipment
* Adhere to all relevant work instructions for the area
* Work to HACCP programme, accurately recording checks and results on relevant quality documentation
* Demonstrate knowledge of product quality standards and implement necessary corrective action on those which do not meet company, customer or legal requirements
* Keep working area clean and tidy
* Conduct cleaning according to required specifications and schedules
Essential skills:
To be successful as a Production Operative, you will need:
* A basic level of English (spoken and written)
* Reliability and punctuality
* Good communication skills
* The ability to work well as part of a team
* A positive and proactive attitude
* Must be prepared to work with raw meat products
* Must be able to get to the site for 06:00 when on early shifts
Desirable experience:
* Previous production experience
Training:
* Full training will be provided, with additional support throughout
