Radiographer

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated radiographer with a flexible approach to delivering radiography services and a keen desire to develop their skills.
We offer a comprehensive range of services in general radiography, NM, CT, MRI, Interventional, cardiac and dexa, with state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
Main duties of the job
* Provide radiography services to a high professional standard and give assistance and guidance to junior staff.
* Maintain high quality patient care, manage patient flow and waiting times, and support the day‑to‑day running of the department.
* Ensure compliance with ionising radiation regulations, departmental policies and protocols.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment and report incidents through the correct process.
* Participate in quality assurance and audit programmes, and in appraisals to support professional development.
Person specification – skills and knowledge
* Understand and possess working knowledge of IR(ME)R, maintain self and others health, safety and security.
* Excellent communication skills; foster good relationships; able to contribute to QA and development of service.
* Commitment to quality improvement, personal development, and maintaining professional standards.
* Organise self‑care, others and have good initiative and motivation; flexible attitude; calm under pressure.
* High professional standards; respond well to change and innovation.
* Wider operational experience, leadership experience, SOR IV injection certificate.
Qualifications
* State registration with HCPC.
* Degree in Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers.
* Evidence of CPD.
Experience
* Recent general, ED, mobile, theatre and fluoroscopy experience in NHS, with out‑of‑hours working.
* Recent experience in a specialty.
