About The Role
EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We're looking to recruit a Freelance Site Engineer to join our team based at Greatworth.
The Site Engineer is responsible on site for other junior engineers and assists in the construction operations at the Greatworth site.
You will liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to standards, programme, and budget.
Responsibilities include working with the setting-out team, managing junior engineers, resolving technical problems, monitoring subcontractors, and ensuring resource availability for the team.
About The Candidate
* HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent, working towards institute membership (ICE).
* Hold a CSCS card (White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager, or Gold - Supervisor).
* Previous highways or structures experience is essential.
* Knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities and construction supervision skills.
* Experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures, or drainage.
* Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
