Recruitment Analyst | Lincoln City FC (Jobs in Performance Analysis)
City have an exciting opportunity to join the football department in the position of recruitment analyst.
Reporting to the head of recruitment, the recruitment analyst will provide high-quality recruitment analysis to support Lincoln City in identifying, monitoring, and recommending potential player acquisitions. They will play a key role in ensuring that the club makes evidence-based decisions in the transfer market, combining data analysis with video and live scouting to contribute to building a competitive squad for EFL League One and beyond.

Job purpose
To provide high-quality recruitment analysis to support Lincoln City Football Club in identifying, monitoring, and recommending potential player acquisitions. The recruitment analyst will play a key role in ensuring that the club makes evidence-based decisions in the transfer market, combining data analysis with video and live scouting to contribute to building a competitive squad for EFL League One and beyond.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver detailed data‑led analysis of prospective players using industry‑standard platforms (e.g. Wyscout, Impect, Hudl Sportscode).
* Produce concise and insightful recruitment reports and video dossiers for the head of recruitment, coaching staff, and senior management.
* Maintain and develop the club’s player database alongside the data scientist ensuring information is accurate and regularly updated.
* Analyse player performance data across domestic and international leagues to identify emerging talent.
* Provide video and statistical support for recruitment meetings and strategy sessions.
* Work collaboratively with scouts and the wider recruitment team to combine live observations with objective data.
* Track recruitment KPIs and support the evaluation of transfer targets post‑signing.
* Assist in developing innovative recruitment processes and contribute to long‑term succession planning.

Person specification
KNOWLEDGE
* Strong understanding of football data, metrics, and performance indicators.
* Proficiency with recruitment and scouting software (e.g. Wyscout, Impect, Hudl).
* Desirable knowledge of EFL League One and player market trends; familiarity with advanced statistical tools (Python, R, Tableau, or similar).
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to present complex data clearly.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, attention to detail, and a methodical approach.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
EXPERIENCE
* Proven record of experience in a particular field, profession or specialism.
* Demonstrated experience in football recruitment, data analysis, or performance analysis.
* Experience producing professional recruitment/player reports.
* Previous experience within a professional football club or governing body.
* Track record of contributing to successful player recruitment.
