Job Description
This is a temporary to permanent position for a Young People Leaving Care Outreach Support Worker. The role involves outreach work between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The initial 12-week temporary period offers the possibility of going permanent, with a salary range of 27-29K depending on experience and qualification level 3.
Our client is a leading provider of care to children and young people, known for supporting young people for many years. The role requires supporting young people and their families, completing property inspections, supporting independence skills, managing diaries, and working closely with staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
* High standard of general education
* Preferably NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care – Children and Young People or equivalent
* Full UK Driving License with Business Insurance
* Experience working with young people and families
* Current online DBS
* Willingness to undertake further training
Job Purpose
To support vulnerable young people by assisting their social workers, providing transport, conducting inductions, assessments, and ongoing support, and helping with move-on processes.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assist social workers in delivering services, including transport, inductions, assessments, and support.
2. Maintain accurate electronic records of service users.
3. Attend meetings and provide mediation as required.
4. Use IT packages effectively and work collaboratively across teams.
5. Maintain confidentiality and participate in policy development.
6. Report housing issues and assist in resolving defects.
7. Undertake On-Call duties and reception duties as needed.
