The Role
This role involves providing day‑to‑day support to Solicitors and Fee Earners across a broad range of private family law matters. The successful candidate will assist with cases involving divorce, financial remedy proceedings, private children matters and general family law applications. Responsibilities will include preparing and managing case files, drafting correspondence and court documents, liaising with clients, counsel, courts and other professionals, and ensuring files are maintained in line with regulatory and procedural requirements. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy within a busy department.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least one year’s experience working as a Paralegal within a legal practice, with previous experience in a family or immigration department being strongly preferred. The successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, confident legal drafting ability and a professional, client‑focused approach. The ability to work effectively within a team, manage competing deadlines and deal with confidential matters discreetly is essential. A genuine interest in family law and a willingness to learn and develop within the area are key attributes for this role.
