Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer and Plumber to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas and plumbing systems across various commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
* Install, service, and repair gas appliances and plumbing systems in accordance with safety standards and regulations
* Conduct routine Servicing/inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary maintenance or repairs
* Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently
* Perform heavy lifting of equipment, pipes, or materials as required for installation or repair projects
* Carry out assembly of components and systems in both commercial and residential settings
* Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each job
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company policies
* Assist with the diagnosis of mechanical faults using technical knowledge and basic math skills
* Operate commercial vehicles safely to reach job sites as needed
* Manage their workload and diary and work effectively and efficiently.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or Plumber with relevant qualifications recognised by industry standards (5 years ideally)
* Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, gas safety regulations, and mechanical principles
* Proficiency in welding, use of hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry techniques
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or repair tasks
* Mechanical aptitude with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Basic math skills for measuring, calculating quantities, and understanding technical diagrams
* Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles (desirable)
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments including residential, commercial, or industrial sites
* Completion of an Enhanced DBS check.
