We are partnering with a well-established, owner-managed business based in Trafford Park who are an SME. The company is profitable, cash-rich, and operationally focused, operating within a flat management structure that provides direct access to the owner. This is an important hire that supports the continued financial stability and smooth day-to-day running of the finance function. The Role This is an entry-level Accounts Clerk role focused on supporting the day-to-day transactional finance activities of the business. Key Responsibilities Processing supplier invoices and maintaining the purchase ledger Raising sales invoices and supporting credit control activities Posting daily cash receipts and payments Assisting with bank reconciliations Preparing and processing payment runs Filing and maintaining accurate financial records Responding to supplier and customer account queries Assisting with data entry into the accounting system Supporting month-end routines with basic reconciliations and checks General finance administration and ad-hoc clerical duties Candidate Requirements Some previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role (or strong office administration experience with a finance interest) AAT studying or keen to begin studying (desirable but not essential) Basic Excel and IT skills Hours & Benefits 37.5 hours per week with flexible start and finish times (office-based role) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Company pension scheme Study support time off for exams Parking onsite
