Overview
Newquay Town Council is a vibrant local government organisation committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors. We are seeking a CCTV Operative on a part time 20 hour per week contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Control and monitor the CCTV network across Newquay and St Austell Towns, using surveillance techniques and ensuring the system operates in line with current legislation and relevant procedures.
* Effectively use CCTV equipment and radio infrastructure, including Police Airwave radio.
* Respond to incidents with thorough, high-standard coverage in a timely manner in line with procedures.
* Ensure that footage stored on CD/DVD/USB/Hard Drive/Electronic media is retained, stored and disposed of in line with local policy and procedure.
* Review CCTV systems to locate relevant footage, copy footage and produce evidential packages for court use when required. Undertake administrative duties for the CCTV Control Room.
* Undertake functional checks of all Control Room equipment and report faults promptly.
* Adhere to the CCTV Operation Manual and Code of Practice at all times.
On the job training will be given to the successful candidate.
