District Nursing Lead - District Nursing Locality Lead

Are you currently an experience nurse, District Nurse Locality Lead or an Advanced District Nurse Specialist looking for your next leadership opportunity?

As part of this transformation around the centralisation of the Triage Desk, we are recruiting for a new permanent District Nursing Lead for the Triage Desk.

This role offers a unique chance to shape and lead a newly established team within the District Nursing service, driving forward the triage function and enhancing service delivery. Based in Abingdon and part of the South localities leadership team, we're seeking a self-motivated and flexible individual with strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for service development. Main duties of the job

* To provide strong, integrated clinical leadership and management of the District Nursing Duty Desk team.
* To lead on the educational agenda in the area, and to lead on specific educational work streams.
* To lead on service development in the District Nursing team, which will be particularly important for a new team without established ways of working.
* To act as a conduit between the integrated leadership team and the District Nursing team.
* To be accountable for the management, development and supervision of identified staff within the team.

Person Specification


Knowledge & Experience

* Evidence of leading within and across teams, including multi-disciplinary and cross organisational working
* Experience of planning and delivering teaching programmes and staff educational needs analysis
* Budgetary and resource management.
* Evidence of participation in service review and facilitating change in the delivery of clinical services


Qualifications

* Current DNLL or ADNS


Skills

* IT literate with intermediate key board skills
* Ability to develop and sustain relationships with partner organisations and the public
