Our award‑winning client is looking for a driven and experienced Estimator to become an integral part of their busy and growing team.
In this role, you will take full responsibility for the estimates you produce, collaborating closely with Sector Managers, Technical Service Managers and CCTV teams to deliver an exceptional client experience. You'll play a key part in maintaining strong margins, upholding quality standards, and ensuring seamless project delivery.
Responsibilities:
Produce accurate, detailed, and commercially sound estimates across drainage, plumbing, CCTV, excavations, and related remedial works
Manage each quote from issue to conversion, proactively following up and helping drive the sales process
Ensure all pricing aligns with agreed frameworks, margin requirements, and company standards
Work closely with Sector Managers to fully understand client needs and sector‑specific expectations
Collaborate with Technical Service Managers and CCTV teams to confirm technical scope, methodology, and feasibility
Identify additional scope, follow‑on works, and upsell opportunities using information from surveys, inspections, and job insights
Keep clear, accurate records of estimates, assumptions, and communication within internal systems (including CRM and job management platforms)
Assist with tender submissions and framework pricing when required
Support ongoing improvements to pricing models, estimating processes, and commercial reporting
Requirements:
Experience in an estimating position within drainage, plumbing, construction, utilities, or a similar technical services field
Strong commercial understanding, able to produce accurate, competitive and consistent pricing
Confident communicator
Exceptional attention to detail
Capable of handling multiple estimates at once while meeting agreed turnaround times
Experience working with CCTV, remedial, or excavation services (desirable)
Familiarity with CRM or job‑management platforms such as HubSpot, BigChange or equivalent (desirable)
Background in contributing to tender submissions or framework pricing (desirable)
