Salary: £25-30k per annum
Our client is the largest privately-owned mortgage network in the UK, aiming to be the best home for mortgage advisers, protection specialists, equity release experts, and insurance professionals. Due to growth, they seek to expand their compliance team at their Leicester head office with a new Financial Resilience Review Officer.
The Role
Conduct ongoing financial ‘fitness’ checks for the network, including Appointed Representative (AR) firms, controllers, and advisors. Analyze data to assess risks posed by AR firms or individuals, ensure accurate record-keeping, escalate concerns, and take corrective actions as needed.
Key Tasks
* Maintain and update records of firms, controllers, advisors, and trainees.
* Perform financial reviews within authority levels, document assets & liabilities, and recommend risk levels.
* Manage high-risk controllers, advisors, and trainees, coordinating with Regional Compliance Managers.
* Provide guidance to ARs and their advisors on monitoring and compliance issues.
* Report risks and breaches, and produce MI reports.
* Maintain records of review decisions and ensure remedial actions are implemented.
* Enhance understanding of financial FIT check requirements among staff.
Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years in a similar financial services role.
* Knowledge of FCA Handbook and FIT requirements.
* Financial services qualification (e.g., AAT, ICEAW, CeMAP) or part qualification (desirable).
Personal Qualities
* Self-motivated with strong discipline.
* Understanding of conduct expectations in regulated roles.
* Confident in discussing regulatory matters with an informative style.
* Supportive attitude towards compliance and safety.
