Welder Engineering Services (Manufacturing & Rail) Location: East Midlands (with occasional nationwide travel) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £17-20 per hour depending on experience OT: 1.5x A leading engineering services provider, supporting clients across the manufacturing and rail sectors, is looking to expand its workforce with skilled and experienced Welders. The Role: As a Welder, you will: * Carry out welding repairs, modifications, and fabrication work on a variety of components, including rail rolling stock. * Work with different welding methods, including MIG/MAG, TIG, and Manual Metal Arc (Stick). * Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate work. * Undertake work in both workshop and site environments, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures. * Contribute to the successful delivery of projects across the East Midlands, with flexibility for occasional travel nationwide. Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience in welding within heavy engineering, rail, or manufacturing environments. * Competency in MIG/MAG, TIG, and Manual Metal Arc (Stick) welding (or at least two of these). * Current coding/certifications highly desirable. * Previous experience working with aluminium and stainless steel beneficial but not essential. * Ability to work independently or as part of a team, maintaining high standards of quality and safety. * Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and reliable approach to work.
