Job Role: Senior CAD Engineer
Location: York
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Navartis are working with a specialist Sub-Contractor who works in a range of sectors including Rail, Civils, Environmental Projects, Commercial in the search for a Senior CAD Engineer.
This is a varied and interesting role where you will be joining a very well qualified design team. You will be expected to input into design rather than just trace mark ups. The role is predominantly bridges but will have some temporary works and geotech schemes.
Key Duties for this role as Senior Design Engineer:
- Lead the preparation of detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for complex civil engineering projects.
- Review and check drawings produced by Graduates and CAD technicians, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to provide technical input and suggestions for design improvements.
- Mentor and train Graduates and CAD technicians, providing guidance and support in developing their CAD skills.
- Development and maintenance of the CAD Standards Manual.
- Ensure that all drawings adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and project specifications.
- Work to project timelines, budgets, and communication with Project Managers
Previous Experience needed for the Senior Design Engineer
- Diploma or degree in CAD Design, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit).
- 5+ years of experience in a CAD Technician role within a civil engineering consultancy.
Package and Working
- Salary: £40,000 - £45,00
- Extras: Regular Staff Events, Car Allowance (TBC), Private Medical.
- Working Hours: Regular Working Day, Hybrid working available but Full time office during training period.
