Bond Turner are one of the North Wests leading Legal practices, specialising in Personal Injury, Defamation, Clinical Negligence, Professional Negligence, and Abuse.
We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Negligence Paralegal who will be based in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide and getting the best results for their clients.
We are looking to further expand our Clinical Negligence team and are looking for a Paralegal to provide direct support the team of Fee Earners to enable the department to operate at optimum efficiency. Working with a high degree of self-management and initiative.

Responsibilities to include:
· Support the fee earner in all aspects of the management of cases.
· Take full liability and quantum statements from client's at the outset of a case.
· Take statements from clients and witnesses, drafting these as appropriate.
· Represent clients at hearings where you have appropriate rights of audience and where the firm believes you have the experience and expertise to do so. PADs and ISH.
· Undertake progress chasing work as per aspects of workflow allocated by fee earner and dealing with some routine post under supervision.
· Consider limitation from the medical records.
· Check medical records complete and arrange pagination.
· Draft letters of instruction to experts.
· Begin quantification of a claim and gather financial information for schedule of damages.
· Attend clients on the telephone and in person to provide up-dates on progress and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm's standards for client care.
· Negotiating with third parties and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcome for the client.
· Dealing with post issue claims, including instructing, working with barristers and producing bundles and pre-trial checklists.
· Completing drafting as required including schedule of losses, PAD applications and any other documentation as required.
· Assessing quantum and attending conferences with Counsel.
· Ensure the confidentiality of all of the firm's and customer's documentation and information.
· Flexible and adaptable in taking on new roles within limits of capabilities.
· Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
· Attend client meeting with a solicitor.
About You:
· Knowledge of the Resolution of clinical disputes protocol
· Excellent inter-personal skills and customer service skills
· Telephone handling skills
· The ability to use a high degree of self management and initiative to prioritise workloads
· Law degree and preferably passed the Legal Practice Course
