SENCo – Specialist Provision

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate SENCo to join a highly supportive independent specialist provision catering for pupils aged 11–18 with a range of additional needs.
This is a small, nurturing setting that provides therapeutic, personalised education for young people who may have experienced barriers in mainstream education, including those with SEMH needs, learning difficulties, and complex profiles. The school prides itself on offering a safe, structured, and relationship-led environment where every pupil is supported to thrive both academically and personally.
The Role
As SENCo, you will take the lead on all aspects of SEND provision across the school. You will play a key role in shaping individual pathways and ensuring every learner receives the tailored support they need to succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the day-to-day management of SEND provision across the setting
* Overseeing EHCP processes, annual reviews, and multi-agency collaboration
* Developing and monitoring personalised learning and behaviour plans
* Supporting and coaching staff to deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching
* Driving a consistent, whole-school approach to inclusion and wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified SENCo (or working towards) with strong SEND knowledge
* Experience supporting students with SEMH and complex needs
* Confident leading EHCP processes and working with external agencies
* A nurturing, resilient practitioner with a commitment to inclusive education
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and develop staff
