Offer description

Overview

At Bending Spoons, we’re striving to build one of the all-time great companies. A company that serves a huge number of customers, where team members grow to their full potential and where the organization functions at unparalleled levels of effectiveness and efficiency while creating extraordinary value for shareholders at an extraordinary rate, all while adhering to high ethical standards.

To achieve this objective, we execute a strategy of acquiring digital businesses with untapped potential and making them as successful as we can by leveraging our platform – which comprises our expertise, technologies, data, brand, talents, and company culture. Proceeds are then invested back into empowering the platform and acquiring new businesses, combining capital‑allocation discipline with a hands‑on operator’s approach.

For a talented, driven, and collaborative individual, working at Bending Spoons is an opportunity to learn, make an impact, and progress a career at an exceptionally high rate – that’s our promise to such a candidate.

A few examples of your responsibilities

* Run security audits, identifying security loopholes and opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of security strategies.
* Perform internal vulnerability testing, uncovering any weaknesses in systems and implementing countermeasures to ensure the integrity of all data.
* Identify company-wide security challenges, design and implement solutions to strengthen protection and streamline security practices across IT and infrastructure areas.
* Collaborate closely with privacy experts to ensure the most robust and complete privacy compliance strategy possible, translating regulations into technical implementations.
* Stay up to date with security trends and threats, share knowledge with Spooners to ensure data protection best practices, and help foster a security‑focused culture across the company.

What we look for

* Reasoning ability. Given the necessary knowledge, you can solve complex problems, think from first principles, structure ideas sharply, resist bias, and focus on the details that matter.
* Drive. You’re extremely ambitious in everything you do – initiative, effort, and tenacity match that ambition. You feel deeply responsible for your work and hold yourself to a high, ever‑rising bar.
* Team spirit. You give generously and without expectation of return, support the best idea rather than your own, are reliable, honest, and transparent, and are happy to get your hands dirty to help your team.
* Proficiency in English. You read, write, and speak proficiently in English.

What we offer

* Incredibly talented, entrepreneurial teams. Work in small, result‑oriented, autonomous teams alongside some of the brightest people in your field.
* An exceptional opportunity for growth. We hire individuals of outstanding potential and then put them in the ideal position to thrive. Spooners in their 20s lead products worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and if you’ve got what it takes, you’ll soon play a key role in major projects.
* Competitive pay and access to equity. Typical salary of £83,997 in London and €63,965 elsewhere; experience‑based figures range between £110,389–£194,964 (London) and €105,737–€186,748 (Europe). Compensation varies by location and impact, growing rapidly with experience and contribution. Equity is available at a discounted price. Relocating to Italy may award a 50% tax cut.
* All these benefits. Flexible hours, remote working, unlimited learning and training backing, top‑of‑market health insurance, a rich relocation package, generous parental support, and a yearly retreat to a stunning location. We help each Spooner set conditions that let them do their best work.

Commitment & contract

Permanent or fixed‑term. Full‑time or part‑time.

Location

Milan (Italy), London (UK), Madrid (Spain), Warsaw (Poland) or remote.

The selection process

If you pass our screening, we’ll ask you to take on a few tests designed to assess how you approach unfamiliar problems. They’re challenging and may take several hours to complete. Success leads to a series of interviews. We set the bar high and won’t extend an offer until we’re convinced we’ve found the right candidate. Accordingly, a job may stay open for months or be reposted several times.

Before you apply

If you’ve applied before but didn’t receive an offer, we recommend waiting at least one year before applying again.

Bending Spoons is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We consider for employment any applicant and provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities – just let us know through the accommodation form.
