Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Haringey, you will support pupils who may experience barriers to learning due to emotional, behavioural, or developmental needs. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral leads, and external professionals to implement support strategies and behaviour plans.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
* Support pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and learning needs
* Assist with behaviour regulation and de-escalation strategies
* Encourage positive engagement with learning activities
* Support social skills and emotional development
* Supervise pupils during transitions and unstructured times
* Maintain safeguarding and behaviour records
