Job Description:

The Case Manager supports the Office of Equal Opportunity Services (EOS) by serving as the first point of contact for individuals raising concerns under Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Title VI, Title IX, ADA/Section 504, and related policies. This role oversees the intake and case management process, maintains accurate records and related policies, coordinates communications, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional requirements. The Case Manager also provides operational support for investigations, prevention initiatives, and compliance reporting while ensuring all parties have access to supportive measures and resources. The Case Manager provides critical administrative and operational support for investigations, prevention initiatives, and compliance reporting, helping the University maintain a fair, safe, and inclusive environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Intake & Case Management

* Serve as the first point of contact for reports of discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, retaliation, or bias.

* Conduct initial intake meetings to gather information, explain rights and resources, and outline EOS processes and procedures.

* Manage the full case lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation in Maxient and related systems.

* Track and monitor active investigations, informal resolutions, educational conversations, supportive measures, and sanctions.

* Monitors timelines to ensure compliance with Title IX, Clery, SB212, and other federal or state regulations.

Communication & Support

* Provide timely updates to reporting and responding parties regarding case status, resources, and next steps.

* Collaborate with campus partners (Human Resources, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Athletics, etc.) to coordinate referrals and supportive measures.

* Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.

Administrative & Operational Support

* Generate compliance reports, data summaries, and dashboards to support compliance reporting and trend analysis.

* Maintain case logs, records, and databases, ensuring files are completed and accurate before closure.

* Upload hearing recordings, documents, and communications; ensure protocols for hearing, investigations, and mediations are followed.

* Develop and update templates, forms, checklist, and training compliance records.

* Support EOS prevention initiatives, training programs, and outreach events for students, faculty, and staff.

* Coordinate scheduling, correspondence, and logistics for hearings, interviews, and meetings.

* Support the Director in preparing federal/state reports and campus updates.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

* Bachelor's degree

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in case management, compliance, or related area.

* Familiarity with Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, ADA/Section 504, and other civil rights regulations.

* Experience with case management systems such as Maxient or similar platforms.

* Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred

* Master's degree in social work, human resources, psychology, higher education, public administration, or a related discipline.

* Previous experience in higher education, compliance, or civil rights administration.

* Experience supporting investigations and preparing compliance reports.
