Overall Purpose of the Role
Co-ordinate confidential financial and administrative support to covert functions within the unit, measure financial returns against set standards and ensure the efficient use of budgets. The successful candidate will identify and suggest improvements, working within a unique environment to influence change.
Key Responsibilities
* Co-ordinate confidential financial and administrative support to covert functions.
* Measure financial returns against set standards and analyse budget utilisation.
* Provide recommendations for operational improvement.
* Operate within a demanding office environment, demonstrating discretion, tact, diplomacy and multi‑tasking.
* Maintain accurate data and reporting for large data sets.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Proven experience of financial practices, budgetary processes, and managing set budget constraints.
* Experience managing accounts, cash handling and banking.
* Advanced computer literacy, proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word), with ability to manipulate data from diverse sources and databases.
* Strong interpersonal skills, able to promote professional relationships with personnel at all levels.
* Self‑motivated, able to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and exercise initiative.
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work away from home.
* Essential: British National residing in the UK for the past ten years; security clearance to DV level with enhanced checks.
* Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service, and studying abroad.
