We are currently recruiting fo
r an experienced Head Chef to work on a full-time basis. Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends, nights and Bank Holidays.
Duties include:
1. To ensure that the menus on offer satisfy customer needs and market trend
2. Provide clear direction and set high standards and expectations, encouraging a customer-focused attitude at all times
3. To recognise the importance of teamwork and group dynamics, building and maintaining effective working relationships within the team
4. To adopt a positive and flexible attitude to changing priorities and procedures, including shift changes etc.
5. To ensure that effective communication takes place throughout the team
6. Prioritise and delegate work within the kitchen team, continually looking for ways of improving the overall effectiveness of the team
7. To comply with current Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and Company Health and Safety policy including COSHH and food handling procedures
Skills & Experience Required:
8. Proven experience at Sous-Chef level
9. Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
10. Excellent record of kitchen and staff management.
11. Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
12. Familiar with industry’s best practices.
13. Team player with a flexible and professional attitude.
