Who You Are The ideal candidate is a compassionate and experienced social worker with significant experience working with children and families, including those who may be vulnerable or have experienced abuse. You possess a professional qualification in social work and current registration with Social Work England. You have a deep understanding of social work theories and current legislation relating to children and families. What the Job Involves As a social worker in Children's Services, your role is to work in partnership with children and families to address their social, emotional, and environmental needs. You will assess risks and needs for vulnerable children, coordinate services for the best possible outcomes, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Key responsibilities include gathering and analyzing information, attending meetings, developing multi-agency plans, and possibly representing the Authority in court.
