The Role
The Monklands Replacement Project (MRP) team is responsible for delivering a new state‑of‑the‑art acute hospital on behalf of NHS Lanarkshire. The post holder will work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver key programme milestones and agreed outcomes.
The MRP FM Lead will support the MRP Project Management Team by providing a comprehensive, professional and multi‑disciplined project management service that supports successful delivery of the Monklands Replacement Project. This role focuses on the delivery of Soft FM (Facilities Management) Services and Systems Provision. The post holder will manage multiple complex work packages. FM is a key function of the Property Support Services Division (PSSD) across NHS Lanarkshire, providing services such as Domestics, Catering, Portering, Waste, Helpdesk, Switchboard, Linen, Transport and Maintenance.
The post holder reports to the Commissioning and Migration Manager and takes direction from the wider project senior team.

What we’ll need you to bring
* Degree level education or equivalent experience
* Excellent soft skills, particularly communication and presentation skills
* Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, NHSS guidance, policies and procedures, working practices within FM services including IPC and HAI SCRIBE guidance
* Leadership skills to enable and support successful implementation of changes in working practices and to monitor delivery
* Ability to meet the challenging requirements of changing technology
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to present complex data in understandable terms suitable for managers, staff and service users who may be resistant to change
* Experience in using Microsoft Project or similar package and computer literacy
* Sound knowledge of operational delivery of FM Services and experience in transformational change to produce future service delivery plans
* Strong negotiating and influencing skills combined with the ability to analyse and interpret multi‑faced complex reports, providing recommendations
* Knowledge and experience of operational FM service delivery to develop service‑specific training packages and to present training as required to staff
* Communication and presentation skills to represent the Project in meetings and presentations to the public, staff and other internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to understand, interpret and deal with complex sensitive data and information during liaison with NHS Lanarkshire‑wide and external stakeholders, respecting confidentiality and communicating with tact and diplomacy
* Full valid driving licence (UK/EU/EEA)

It would be great if you also have
* Sound knowledge of operational delivery of FM Services within an acute healthcare setting and experience in transformational change
* Knowledge and experience of operational FM service delivery to develop service‑specific training packages
* Well‑developed customer care skills
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Good persuasive skills
* Proficient IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
* Flexibility and ability to work independently
* Experience in using Microsoft Project or similar package
* Experience in liaising with external stakeholders
