About the role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and coordinate offsite manufacturing operations in Brandesburton. As a Production Manager, you will take full responsibility for overseeing the production lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high quality modular units in line with client requirements, production schedules and budget.
The Production Manager will lead and supervise a team of skilled and semi skilled operatives, driving performance and maintaining high standards across the facility. This Production Manager position requires strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines.
Working closely with design, procurement and project delivery teams, the Production Manager will ensure seamless operations and consistently strong outcomes. A proactive approach to health and safety, alongside a focus on efficiency, continuous improvement and performance, is essential for success in this Production Manager role.
Key responsibilities
• Review and update the production programme, incorporating labour hours to determine manning requirements
• Monitor daily progress and provide updates at production meetings, highlighting risks, delays or resource gaps
• Lead daily briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring clear two way communication across teams
• Monitor attendance, timekeeping and overall team performance
• Provide daily progress updates to the Manufacturing Manager
• Liaise with Stores, Design and Subcontract teams to support smooth project delivery
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
• Ensure all production activities meet quality standards and deadlines
• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture within the facility
Skills and experience required
Essential
• Proven experience in a production or manufacturing management role
• Experience managing medium to large teams within a production environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• In depth understanding of production planning, scheduling and resource management
• Demonstrable experience driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement
• Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practice
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
• Problem solving mindset with a practical and results driven approach
Desirable
• Experience within modular construction or offsite manufacturing
