AI Delivery Lead - Permanent - Hybrid - Insurance
OverviewThis is an opportunity to work with leading global companies and help them tackle complex business challenges. As a Senior AI Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative AI-enabled solutions that create long-term value for insurance clients. The role focuses on delivering next-generation technology projects that leverage traditional AI, generative AI, and advanced data science capabilities.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, identify opportunities for AI adoption, and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact solutions. This role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and delivery management, offering the chance to operate at the forefront of AI-driven transformation.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with clients to understand business challenges and design AI-enabled solutions aligned with their strategic objectives.Lead the development and delivery of AI solutions across the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to implementation and scaling.Manage project timelines, budgets, scope, and delivery milestones to ensure successful outcomes.Build, lead, and mentor cross-functional teams of AI professionals including data scientists, engineers, developers, and business analysts.Drive business development activities including building client relationships, contributing to proposals, supporting bid processes, and identifying strategic partnership opportunities.Stay informed on the latest developments in artificial intelligence, generative AI, and data science, identifying opportunities to apply emerging technologies to client challenges.Communicate project progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.Oversee the implementation of data governance, privacy, security, and ethical AI guardrails throughout project delivery.
Skills and Experience
Essential SkillsDeep experience within the insurance industry with a strong track record across relevant sub-domains.Extensive experience designing and delivering AI-enabled solutions at production scale.Ability to identify AI opportunities and develop go-to-market propositions that connect business challenges with technical solutions.Strong project and programme management experience including managing timelines, budgets, and delivery scope.Strong understanding of AI technologies including machine learning, data science, and generative AI.Proven leadership capability managing diverse technical and non-technical teams.Experience working within agile delivery environments and familiarity with agile methodologies.
Desirable SkillsKnowledge of emerging AI technologies and their practical applications and risks.Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to structure complex ideas in a clear and engaging way.Experience delivering AI solutions on cloud platforms.Experience with agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.Experience in data visualisation and communicating insights from complex datasets to non-technical stakeholders.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
