Your mission

Everyone talks about how difficult the conveyancing journey is to completion, so we are here to make it easier That's why we're looking for someone as determined as we are to deliver great customer outcomes and help people become homeowners.

Your focus will be on providing high-quality support to our customers in ensuring that their journey to completion is as smooth as possible. You will be working with conveyancers to ensure that they are able to satisfy our customers obligations in the mortgage offer so that completion can take place promptly and we can also ensure that our charge is secure and safe.

Your Role

As a completions specialist in the Gen H lending team, you will need to manage your workload proactively to ensure that our processes operate in a timely and effective manner, adhering to all quality and regulatory standards.

You will:

● Be a friendly, supportive point of contact for customers in their journey to completing their mortgage.

● Review and respond to conveyancing/post offer enquiries with support available for complex legal issues from the completions manager and underwriters.

● Answer our conveyancing/completions phone line and manage the inbox assisting with and directing enquiries from conveyancers, brokers and customers as well as deal with the team's incoming post.

● Be able to manage and assist with processing the mortgage from post offer to completion.

● Pursue outstanding documents ensuring mortgage offer conditions are satisfied.

● Process Certificates of Titles (COTs) to ensure compliance with all loan offer conditions and support the release of completions funds.

● Checking all documentation is in place for the registration of our charge at the Land Registry.

● Liaise and build strong relationships with our conveyancing panel manager to provide support on all post-mortgage offer queries.

● Work with the wider team to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements.

Requirements

You would be a perfect fit as a completions specialist to the lending team if you:

● Have 2+ years' completions experience in residential mortgages or working in a busy conveyancing practice as a legal assistant.

● Have a strong understanding and experience of the stages of a mortgage post offer/conveyancing transaction.

● Are conscientious, self-driven and a quick learner.

● Are very well organised and have excellent administrative and communication skills.

● Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

● Friendly and professional attitude and exceptional customer support skills.

● Have the ability to work under pressure to meet strict completion deadlines within service level agreements including being able to multi-task.

● Ability to function independently and in a team environment.

● Can work in a paperless office.

● Are excited to help Gen H drive positive change in the mortgage industry.

● You'll need to come into the office, located near Old Street Station in London, once a month.

Logistics

The application process consists of a first-stage screening call, a second-stage competency video interview, and lastly an on-site values interview with our friendly team. We aim to get to know you better in the last stage interview, allowing you to see our working environment in action
