Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a well-established Local Authority in West Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Prosecution Solicitor. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional to join a busy and supportive team on a hybrid basis, handling a varied caseload of criminal and regulatory prosecutions.
Prosecution Solicitor
Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working)
Contract: Full-Time | 3-Month Rolling Contract
Rate: £50–£55 per hour (Umbrella)
PAYE (Inc.Hol): £44.50 - £48.89
As a Prosecution Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of prosecution matters on behalf of the Local Authority. You will play a key role in ensuring legal compliance and supporting enforcement functions across multiple service areas.
Key Responsibilities as a Prosecution Solicitor:
Managing a caseload of criminal and civil prosecution matters, including regulatory offences
Conducting advocacy in Magistrates’ Court where required
Preparing and reviewing case files, witness statements, and legal documentation
Advising council officers and departments on enforcement and prosecution mattersAbout you as a Prosecution Solicitor:
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with a current practising certificate
Previous experience handling prosecutions within a Local Authority or similar environment
Strong advocacy skills and experience attending courtBenefits:
