Teaching Assistant - Year 2 (Behaviour Support)
Location: Rochdale (OL11)
Pay: £103.95 - £110 per day
Start: ASAP / Ongoing
This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who understands the needs of KS1 pupils, can provide clear boundaries, and supports children in developing positive behaviour and social skills within the classroom environment.
The Role:
Supporting pupils in a Year 2 classroom, both academically and behaviourally
Providing 1:1 and small group support to help children access learning
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management
Working closely with the class teacher to maintain routines and structure
Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and confidence
Being a calm, consistent and positive role model throughout the school day
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working as a KS1 / Year 2 Teaching Assistant
Be confident managing low-level and emerging behavioural needs
Be patient, firm and nurturing with a clear understanding of boundaries
Have a good understanding of child development in KS1
Be able to build strong relationships with young children
