We are seeking applications from enthusiastic, dedicated MRI Radiographers to join our team. We can also provide training support for self-motivated individuals who are eager to learn this modality.
Our team works flexibly across three hospital sites with GE 1.5T, 3.0T, and Philips 1.5T MRI scanners, supported by a CDC facility. You will have the opportunity to scan a wide range of pediatric and adult MRI examinations.
The successful applicant should demonstrate clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to personal and professional development is essential.
The MRI service operates 12.5 hours daily, 7 days a week, across multiple NWAFT sites. Staff work a 3-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
You will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images and providing excellent patient care, adhering to national guidelines and relevant legislation such as IR(ME)R 2000. The role involves working independently in a specialized MRI unit and prioritizing workload effectively.
Additional responsibilities may include:
* Venipuncture
* Representing at Trust-wide meetings (e.g., improving working lives)
* Engaging in postgraduate study
Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust’s redeployment process.
