Technical & Quality Manager (Maternity Cover)

Location: Omagh Mill
Fane Valley Feeds now wishes to recruit a temporary Technical & Quality Manager to join the Management Team. Reporting to the Operations Director, the position is based between both mills in Omagh and Newry.
The Role:
* The Technical & Quality Manager will be responsible for leading a team to ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards;
* Overall responsibility for monitoring, controlling and updating technical, quality and environmental management systems;
* A willingness to take on a fully hands-on approach to all aspects of the business.
The Person:
* Third level qualification or equivalent in an agri-food, quality management or similar related discipline;
* At least 1 year’s experience in a technical role within a food or feed company;
* Ability to deal with customer technical and quality queries;
* IT literate;
* Have a full current driving licence valid in the UK and use of a car;
* Preference will be given to candidates with a knowledge of relevant technical and quality accreditation bodies (DAERA, UFAS);
* Ideally have experience in managing staff in a supervisory/managerial role.
