Overview
We are seeking an intellectually sharp, highly motivated Global Head of Research to lead the research function at Pascoe + Tew. This is a strategic leadership role that demands precision, pace, and the ability to think beyond the brief to uncover what truly matters to our clients.
You will manage our India-based research team, ensuring they operate with excellence, autonomy, and commercial awareness. You will take full ownership of the quality and rigour of all research outputs including mapping, org charts, and contact detail gathering (mobiles, emails, etc.), ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards in terms of accuracy, speed, and insight.
The role is heavily rooted in phone and internet-based research. You will be a critical enabler of success across all mandates by ensuring our research backbone is unmatched in quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the global research function, ensuring all mapping and intelligence is accurate, insightful, and commercially focused
• Manage and develop the India-based research team, ensuring they maintain exceptional attention to detail, initiative, and pace
• Take responsibility for the quality, consistency, and timeliness of all research deliverables, primarily full market maps, org charts, and verified contact information
• Uphold and improve internal research standards and processes, continuously driving rigour and efficiency
• Work closely with the COO and leadership team to align research output with commercial objectives
• Ensure the research team has a clear understanding of what success looks like in each search, and that their outputs reflect that ambition
What We’re Looking For
• Strong experience in executive search research, ideally in a leadership or quality assurance role
• Evidence of delivering high-quality mapping and talent intelligence across sectors and regions
• Deep understanding of the nuances of org structures, competitor environments, and talent pools
• A highly structured thinker - curious, analytical, and comfortable working with ambiguity
• Excellent written communication and internet research skills; experience in desk-based and phone research is essential
• Proven ability to manage and develop junior or offshore researchers
• High levels of self-motivation, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence
