POSITION SUMMARY:\n\nThe Mechanical Design Engineer will function as Lead Mechanical Engineer on projects and will provide direction and assistance to Mechanical Engineers & Piping Designers working on facility Mechanical systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Lead mechanical engineering efforts on projects, including directing engineers and piping designers.\n\n * \n\n Design process piping and ductwork systems, including routing, sizing, materials selection, and support design.\n\n * \n\n Develop P&IDs and evaluate specifications for mechanical systems and process equipment.\n\n * \n\n Coordinate mechanical systems with electrical engineers, vendors, and fabrication teams.\n\n * \n\n Oversee and review drawing packages using AutoCAD (60%, 95%, IFB, IFC stages).\n\n * \n\n Specify and solicit quotations for equipment and unitized system components.\n\n * \n\n Assist in material take-offs and fabrication planning.\n\n * \n\n Participate in system installation and startup, both domestically and internationally.\n\n * \n\n Mentor junior engineers and contribute to early-phase project estimates and site evaluations.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n * \n\n Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)\n\n * \n\n 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience\n\n * \n\n EIT registration (preferred)\n\n * \n\n Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and system drafting\n\n * \n\n Experience with piping fabrication, pumps, HVAC, and mechanical support systems\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills\n\n * \n\n Willingness to travel up to 30% for installations/startups\n\n * \n\n Valid driver's license (for commuting between office locations)
