Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to assist on delivering a range of professional services to their large portfolio of customers. This is an opportunity for someone with an innovative approach that is also looking for a varied workload.
Job responsibilities of the Principal Consultant:
1. The Principal Consultant will lead small teams of consultants and peers on larger assignments
2. Carrying out Net Zero and/or ESG-related gap analysis and governance reviews to meet the specified customer requirements
3. Undertaking technical assignments such as carbon LCAs, climate resilience (site level) and SBTi submission support projects
4. Project management assignments, i.e. working with clients and colleagues to help client teams implement measures to achieve energy reduction and other utility and resource efficiency related projects on client’s site
The ideal Principal Consultant will have:
5. A recognised degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
6. A minimum of 5 years’ experience at Principal level in a Net Zero and ESG consultancy role, leading project delivery for key clients
7. A Chartered Environmentalist status or post-graduate qualification
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including taking part in webinars and speaking at events)
9. Thorough knowledge and understanding of current and emerging Net Zero and ESG legislation, global frameworks, and standards
10. Knowledge of energy efficiency and decarbonisation measures
11. knowledge of carbon LCA
